Online Quran Classes for Ladies with Female Teachers
Begin, return to, or grow in your Quran learning with a teacher who listens to you. Request a female teacher and follow a personal path in reading, Tajweed, memorization or guided study.
A Quran lesson that starts where you are.
You do not need perfect pronunciation or a long list of memorized surahs to begin. Perhaps you learned to read years ago but lost confidence. Perhaps you can recite but want someone to catch mistakes you cannot hear yourself.
At Muruj, your teacher begins by listening. Your lessons then focus on the skill that helps you move forward: reading, applying Tajweed, memorizing, or revising. Ask questions, practise aloud, and learn at a pace you can sustain.
Start with what you know today.
Beginners, returning learners, busy mothers, working women and non-Arabic speakers can discuss a starting point that fits their current level.
Your starting point comes from your assessment, not a label.
A place for women at different starting points
Whether you are discovering the Quran for the first time or returning to a goal you paused, the lesson begins with the skills you have today.
Beginning without pressure
Learn Arabic letters and the sounds of short verses with room to ask every question. Your first class is an introduction, not an exam.
Returning after a break
Read or recite a short sample and rebuild from what you still remember. A teacher can help you recognise strengths as well as gaps.
Balancing a full week
Discuss lesson times and a home practice target around work, study or family responsibilities. Consistency starts with a plan you can keep.
Explore Quran classes for sisters
Choose the goal that brought you here. Your trial helps you decide which course suits your level, and each specialist program goes deeper into its own subject.

What each course helps you work on
These introductions help you choose. The specialist course pages contain the full subject curriculum.
01 · READING
Read from your level, not from someone else’s pace
If you are starting from scratch, begin with letter shapes, vowel signs and joining letters. If you already read but pause frequently, focus on connected words and short Quran passages. Your teacher listens to the words that slow you down and gives you targeted practice.
Best for: A beginner learning the script or a returning reader rebuilding fluency.
02 · TAJWEED
Turn a rule you know into a sound you can make
Reading a Tajweed rule is different from applying it during recitation. Practise articulation points and common rules with the Quran open, receive immediate correction, then return to the same passage to hear your improvement.
Best for: A learner who reads Arabic and wants clearer, more accurate recitation.
03 · HIFZ
Make room for both new verses and what you already know
A Hifz plan works best when revision has a clear place. Your teacher can consider your available practice time, help you set a suitable new passage and check recent and older memorization so it remains accessible.
Best for: A first-time memorizer or someone rebuilding retention after a break.
04 · ARABIC
Connect your Quran study to the language
Recognise useful words and simple patterns from verses you encounter. This supporting path helps you build Arabic language foundations; Muruj’s dedicated Arabic page explains the full language curriculum.
Best for: A reader seeking stronger understanding alongside recitation.
05 · ISLAMIC
Give your questions a thoughtful place to go
Quran study can bring questions about worship, belief, Seerah and the meaning of selected passages. Discuss an appropriate Islamic Studies level with a teacher. Specialist topics, including women’s questions in worship, should be addressed within the relevant studies pathway by a qualified instructor.
Best for: A learner seeking structured Islamic knowledge alongside Quran.
06 · IJAZAH
See what advanced recitation requires before you commit
The first step is an honest assessment of pronunciation, Tajweed and consistency. A formal track follows a specified riwayah and the requirements of an appropriately authorized teacher. Teacher availability and admission to a formal Ijazah pathway are assessed separately.
Best for: An experienced student interested in formal supervised recitation.
One starting point. A path that can grow with you.
A new reader may begin with letters and short verses before moving into more focused Tajweed practice. A woman who already reads may start directly with corrected recitation or a manageable Hifz plan. Arabic and Islamic Studies are additional subjects with their own dedicated learning paths.
Advanced recitation and Ijazah require a separate assessment. Formal Ijazah study depends on the specified riwayah, sustained supervised recitation and the decision of an appropriately authorized teacher; attendance alone does not grant a certificate.

Frequently asked questions
Can I request a female Quran teacher?
Yes. Mention your preference when you book your trial. Muruj will discuss a suitable match based on the subject, schedule and teacher availability.
I cannot read Arabic yet. Can I join?
Yes. You can start with Arabic letters and vowel marks. You do not need to read from the Mushaf before your first class.
Can I return after a long break?
Yes. A short assessment helps your teacher see what you remember and where to rebuild confidence.
Can I study Tajweed and Hifz together?
Discuss both goals in your trial. Your teacher can recommend a sensible balance of corrected recitation, new memorization and revision.
Are lessons live and one to one?
Muruj offers live individual lessons, so your teacher can listen and correct your recitation during class.
Will taking classes automatically grant an Ijazah?
No. An Ijazah requires the relevant standard of supervised recitation and the decision of an appropriately authorized teacher. Explore Muruj’s specialist Ijazah program for the formal pathway.
How can I fit lessons around work or family?
Share your preferred times when enquiring. Muruj can discuss available class times and lesson lengths that fit your routine.
