Memorization grows stronger when new verses and earlier portions have a place in the same plan. In Muruj’s live lessons, your teacher hears what you already know, corrects your recitation and sets a manageable target for the next lesson.
Your goal can be a few Surahs, a chosen Juz, a return to Hifz after a break or a long-term plan for the complete Quran. We start with your current level.

Your teacher recommends a route after listening to your reading and previously memorized Surahs.

Sabqi · Recent revision
Recite newly learned portions again to strengthen recall.
Manzil · Earlier revision
Return to older Surahs or Juz on a planned cycle while continuing forward.

What happens in a Hifz lesson?
Your teacher listens to recent and earlier memorization, corrects your recitation and works with you on an appropriate new portion.
Before the lesson ends, you agree on what to practise and revise next. If an older portion becomes less secure, your teacher makes room to strengthen it before increasing the new target.

Read GuideQuestions about online Quran memorization
Can I begin Hifz if I cannot read Arabic yet?
You can book an assessment now. If reading Quran words needs more work, your teacher may recommend the Quran Reading path before a larger memorization target.
Do I have to memorize the whole Quran?
No. You may aim for short Surahs, selected Juz or complete Hifz. We set a starting target based on your goal and current level.
Can I revise Surahs I memorized years ago?
Yes. A teacher can listen to what remains strong and help you rebuild weaker portions through planned review.
How should I prepare for the free Hifz trial?
Tell us which Surahs or Juz you have memorized, what you currently revise and how much time you can practise. Bring your usual Mushaf and be ready to recite a familiar passage. The teacher uses the assessment to recommend a manageable new portion and a revision starting point.
What if I keep forgetting earlier memorization?
Tell your teacher which passages need prompts or contain repeated mistakes. Your plan can reduce new memorization and give more time to recent and older revision. Check that an earlier portion is secure before increasing the new target.
Is Tajweed included during memorization?
Your teacher corrects pronunciation while you memorize. For in-depth study of recitation rules, explore our dedicated Tajweed classes.
How long does it take to memorize the Quran?
There is no fixed duration for every student. Your starting reading level, goal, practice time and revision consistency determine the pace. A teacher recommends an initial plan after assessment.
Do children and adults follow the same lesson plan?
No. The lesson pace and activities follow the learner’s level and needs. See our Kids and Adults pages for their broader Quran learning paths.
Will I receive an Ijazah after this course?
Ijazah is a separate advanced pathway with an assessment and specific requirements. Completing a Hifz plan does not automatically grant an Ijazah.
Can I request a male or female teacher?
Yes. Tell Muruj your preference when booking; matching depends on teacher availability.
